2011 Speedway Rules & Regulations
The rules and regulations set forth shall
govern the condition of all race events, and by participating in
these events, all participants are deemed to have agreed to comply
with these rules. Eagle River Speedway reserves the right to
prohibit any car, driver, pit crew, or those associated if it is
felt that a participant’s presence or conduct is not in the best
interest of the sport. The Eagle River Speedway Sanctioning Body
reserves the right to make rule interpretations and changes at any
time to benefit the race program. There decision is
Final.
It is the driver’s
responsibility to be legal every week at all
times!!
7:00 P.M. RACE
DEADLINE: All cars must be in the pits and are required
to pack the track. Any car not ready and able to pack the track will
be moved to the back of the pack in the Heat Race.
DRIVER: The
owner and driver assume responsibility for action of their pit crew
in every respect. The driver is the acting spokesman for the car in
every matter. Drivers can only race the car they sign in at the
pit gate and a driver can only check one car in the division per
night. Exception: A car can be
substituted by fellow driver in same division if your car is not
able to race.
FIGHTING: Any fighting in the pits
will not be tolerated and is ground for suspension. There will be a
minimum of one week suspension for all parties involved in
confrontation. All decisions will be made through Eagle River
Speedway Sanctioning Body to the length of
suspension(s).
ALCOHOL
POLICY: Eagle River Speedway has a Zero Tolerance
alcohol policy by any participant whom would enter the pit area.
There will be no consumption of alcoholic beverages until the entire
program is complete. Glass bottles and containers are
prohibited.
Penalty for a participant or crew member if
caught consuming an alcoholic beverage in the pit area, or is under
the influence of alcoholic beverages in the pit area before the
entire program for all divisions is completed, will be immediately
ejected from the race grounds and subject to suspension. Driver
will be suspended for a minimum for a minimum of one full calendar
year. Pitman will be suspended for a minimum of two
weeks.
RACE
LINEUP: It’s the responsibility of the driver to
be ready and lined up for their race. Assistance will be given by
track personal. Any car not in the line-up at the time the white
flag lap of the previous race will forfeit their position and start
in the back.
RACE
STARTS: No parade lap will be given!! (Exception:
Only if cars from previous race still on track).
Flag Man
will flash green light to inform driver’s green flag being taken.
The front two cars will set a reasonable pace. Any car moving up
positions before green flag is taken will be docked at the end of
the race for each position passed. Flag Man will determine start and
restarts.
SCALING: Top 4 finishes
after heat and feature races in B-Mod Midwest/Sport, Micro-Sprints,
Street Stocks and Pure Stocks are required to scale. If
any driver happens to be disqualified because of rules violation or
weight will lose their points for the night.
FLAGS:
- Green:
Go
- Red:
Stop
- Yellow:
Caution
- White: One
lap to go.
- Checkered:
Finish
- Yellow/Red:
Any driver causing Two Yellow Flags, Two Red Flags or one Red and
one Yellow Flag in a race will be disqualified from that race.
- Blue/Yellow
Strip: The Leaders about to lap you and need to move to top of
track.
- Black:
Disqualified from race and need to leave track surface
immediately. Failure to disobey black flag for 3 or more laps, you
will forfeit all points and money for that evening’s race program.
PIT RULES:
- Everyone
entering pits must sign in before entry at main gate to receive
pit wristband.
- Wristband
must be worn at all times.
- No spectators
are allowed in pits until race program has finished.
- Personal
vehicles may not be driven into pit area; exceptions can be made
by Eagle River Speedway Staff.
- Pit Crew
Members may leave for emergency purposes only, with permission
from Pit Official.
- Individuals
under the age of 18. (Ages 1-17 may enter the pit area with a
Parent or Guardian signed “Minor Release and Waiver of Liability
and Indemnity Agreement”, a copy of the minors Birth Certificate
is required.)
- Individuals
under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs will not be allowed in Pit
Area.
- No Pets are
allowed.
SCORING
DISPUTES: All scoring disputes must be
finalized before leaving track for the evening. Flag Man
decisions are Final. No Exceptions!!!!
Eagle
River Speedway Sanctioning Body has the authority to enforce all
track rules and prescribe the penalty for any violation.
